He is an experienced diplomat, having served previously as the Netherlands’ ambassador in the United Arab Emirates, Israel, Serbia and Russia. Business manager offshore wind in Eemshaven. Eemshaven breathes offshore wind and has become one of the leading ports in the offshore wind industry around the North Sea. Since 2009 this northern Netherlands port plays an important role regarding assembly and shipping activities of wind turbines. Eemshaven is within close nautical distance to the wind farms in the German Bight (North Sea). Already 19 windfarms were partly launched from Eemshaven and 4 windfarms have their O&M activities organized from the port. At the moment Eemshaven serves as base port for the Gode Wind 3, Borkum Riffgrund 3 and He Dreiht offshore wind farms. Eemshaven offers both public and private quays, public and private jetties and there is still land which can be leased available. Before joining the port in 2005 Erik was dealing with logistics in containers, terminals and rail.

During this time, the offshore team in APAC has expanded from 5 employees to its current size of over 500. Prior to that, he was heading onshore sales in the region year. Before joining the Institute, she worked in Abu Dhabi for the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) as Policy and Project Regional Manager for Asia Oceania. She is one of two founders of the Institute for Sustainable Energy Policies (ISEP) and served as Deputy Director for 8 years following its establishment in 2000. She also worked as Advisor for Climate Change Projects and Policies for UKFCO at the British Embassy to Japan. She started her career in the energy field by joining Citizens’ Nuclear Information Center in 1992. In 2017, She was awarded the ISES Global Leadership Award in Advancing Solar Energy Policy- in honour of Hermann Scheer by the International Solar Energy Society. *The Institute’s English name was “Japan Renewable Energy Foundation (JREF)” from 2011 - 2016.

Rasmus Wandrup joined SRE in 2020 as Chief Technology Officer, leading the technology direction for the company’s offshore wind projects. Before joining the company, he served as Senior Consultant at K2 Management based in Denmark and Japan and took senior leadership roles at Vattenfall and Siemens Gamesa. During his time at Siemens Gamesa, Rasmus took part in the pilot floating project Hywind and had accrued substantial experience in several feasibility assessments for floating offshore power since then. He participated in the bidding, planning, construction, and operation and maintenance phases of many offshore wind projects the installed capacity of which totaled over 1 GW across Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Denmark.
Daniel Runyan is the Senior Vice President Head of Offshore Wind at Invenergy leading the only American-led company currently developing a multi-project portfolio of offshore wind projects on both US coasts. He previously was leading development from the Netherlands and Japan over a 4 GW pipeline with Pattern Energy. He has financed and constructed over 1.5 GW of offshore and onshore wind projects since 2007. He has focused his 20+ year career on the electric power industry since graduating from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Mechanical Engineering degree.

He is also responsible for the service section DE International, which supports German business in starting or extending their business in Japan and facilitates the bilateral exchange between German and Japanese business in almost all industrial areas. Additionally, he accompanied the setup of the first German Agriculture and Food Competence Center by order of the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture in Japan, as well as the setup of the secretary of The German-Japanese Energy Partnership in Japan. Before of his current position he was in charge for global business development of a major German technical service provider as well as head of digital transformation of a business stream for the same company. During his professional career, he facilitated the transfer of innovative products and services from Germany to Japan. He used to work and study for several years in Japan and Germany and has consultancy experience in both countries. Dr. Lucas Witoslawski has studied business computing at the University of Paderborn in Germany with focus on international management, networking technologies and operations research. He holds also a PhD from Yokohama National University in Japan, where he specialized on the influence of human resource related difficulties of European businesses in Japan and the influence of motivational factors of local employees working for European businesses in Japan.

She is responsible for promoting and facilitating the rapid acceleration of offshore wind globally, working with and advising governments and other key stakeholders in Asia-Pacific, MENA, Europe and Central Asia and the Americas. She works to create the right market conditions, policy and regulatory frameworks in emerging and maturing offshore wind markets. She is a market design expert, sitting on the UK Committee on Climate Change market design advisory board. She also represents the global offshore wind industry to the world's leading political and economic institutions and forums, such as the UN & UNFCCC, WEF, IMF, World Bank and more. She led the wind industry’s programme of work on COP26 and the Wind Are You In campaign. Prior to this she headed up RenewableUK’s policy team, where she worked to develop policy and engage key stakeholders in the context of the UK’s world beating Offshore Wind program, including working to secure the UK's floating wind target and floating wind policy framework.
